Ammolite Dagger

"The Fire Within" A stunning AA - Ammolite inlay is one of the highlights of this large folding dagger. Rare and beautiful, Ammonite's iridescent colors glow with the beauty of the rainbow and have chatoyancy similar to a premium opal. Both inlays have colors, ranging from green, red, orange and blues. The Ammolite is set into Mammoth Ivory, in a mostly cream color. While the ivory has selective age marks on it, it is not distracting, rather the opposite. A large rhombic texture was carved into the handle which serves a dual purpose. One being to break up the flat area on the handle material, the other to add the user in holding the knife more securely. The top cutout on the handle gives access to the blade and with the push of a finger the liner lock can also become a flipper for emergency use. The dagger blade was created from Chris Marks "Stars & Stripes" Damascus, with a leave shaped blade design. The unique 14 ct gold wire thumb stud creates that "it belongs there" feeling. Chris Marks spider web damascus has been heat colored to flows well with the overall design. The bail is of 14 CT gold wire with a 14 CT gold nugget in it. I cast the nugget out of 14 CT gold. The spacers in the spine are highly polished Hematite cubes. Liners are titanium, which have been file worked and anodized, as well as jeweled on the inside. In case you haven't noticed, a real treat is that there are no visible screws, yet the folder can be totally disassembled from the inside out.
