Cougar Scrimshaw

Cougar Scrimshaw

One of my earlier works, featuring BG-42 steel and an inlaid black Micarta® handle. The handle was scrimshawed by master scrimshander Gaétan Beauchamp https://beauchampknives.com with three cougars. While the image is striking, it does not fully capture the quality of Beauchamp’s craftsmanship.

Three mountain lions emerging from the depth of the black Micarta® handle.

The small Charoite and desert ironwood–handled fixed blade knife gives the impression of a jigsaw-puzzle-like handle.
