Stainless Mosaic Damascus Folder with Mammoth Ivory Gold and Peridot
An elegant dress folder with my "hidden screw design" and a stainless ladder Damascus blade. The Damascus blade rotates on a ball bearing system and is exceptionally smooth. The Lizard mosaic Damascus bolsters are dovetailed to fit to the mammoth ivory scales. The select earth tone, blue and green hues mammoth ivory scales have been invisible screwed to the titanium body. The same goes for the bolsters.
In addition the ivory's mating area has been slightly rounded, to avoid any "sharp" edges being exposed, should the natural material slightly contract or expand during seasonal changes. All other exposed edges have also slightly been rounded for user comfort.
The body of the folder is titanium anodized blue and the liners have been jeweled. The thumbstud was cast from 14 ct green gold and set with a 3.5mm peridot. The back bar is Damascus with a subtle pattern. Pioneered in 2004 more information on the "hidden screw design" can be found here.
